Bethany studied painter Jackson Pollock during highschool. With the help of her art teacher Lynn Dalan, Bethany experimented with a few techniques commonly used by Pollock such as splatter painting with brushes, and in this case, pouring and dripping paint onto the canvas with condiment squeeze bottles. Bethany called the resulting work "Chicken and the Northern Lights."
