Since the garden we've been waiting
For One to make all wrong things right
A Son, a Seed, to bruise the serpent
Reverse the curse and end our plight

The prophets promised us a king
A perfect priest to stand in God's own sight
For a greater prophet too we waited
To show us the way of truth and life

Now heavenly hosts, all creation, rise and sing!
Let cries of joy pierce the night!
A child is born, Prophet, Priest, and King
Israel's hope has turned to sight

In cradle lowly sleeps the culmination of the ages
All human frailty, all Godly might
Immanuel is finally with us
Our God has come to save and end the fight
